The following are frequently asked questions. If you do not find answers to your questions here, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to respond individually and possibly include your question on this site.

Q. How much are the annual homeowners dues and when are they assessed?
A. Dues are $189.00 per year assessed on January 1st. You will receive an invoice from the office and must submit your payment before January 31st to avoid interest charges. Fees cover all upkeep and maintenance of the green ways along the parkway as well as the 6 miles of trails. Depending on which Woodcroft neighborhood you reside, you may also pay HOA fees to your individual community. This is the case for all town home communities as well as some of the single family home neighborhoods such as Cross Timbers. See the New Residents page for more details.

Q. Are Woodcroft residents automatically members of the Swim and Tennis Club?
A. No, the club is a seperate entity with a different fee structure. For more information please visit the Woodcroft Club website.

Q. I’m having a yard sale this spring. Why can’t I post my signs on the Parkway?
A. The Woodcroft Community Association policy is intended to keep the parkway appearing “clean and green”, part of what makes this community so special. We count on each Woodcroft resident to help uphold this policy in a responsible manner.

Q. Does installing a satellite dish require architectural board approval?
A.  Acceptable satellite dishes must be 18” or less in diameter, antennae much be placed in the most unobtrusive location on the homeowner’s property and cannot be visible from the street. No mast to which the antennae are to be attached may be more than 12 feet in height. If your dish meets this criteria, you do not have to submit an ARB application. If you dish is outside these parameters you must make an application. The ARB submission deadlines and meeting dates can be found under “calendar of events”. Please remember, satellite dishes nor any other personal property may ever be placed in Woodcroft common area. If you have a question about your property boundaries, please refer to your survey or “Gomaps” on the Durham city web site. If you are still not certain, please call the office.

Q. I’d like to touch up the paint on my mailbox. Where can I find exact matching paint?
A. Triangle True Value Hardware at the Woodcroft Shopping Center has a custom color called “Woodcroft White”.

Q. When are the WCA board meetings and are they open to the public?
A. The WCA Board of Directors meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in Suite K in the Woodcroft Professional Building. The agenda discussion part of the meetings are open to the public. Certain votes and discussion may be conducted in closed sessions at the discretion of the board President. See the Calendar for meeting dates and minutes.
